DIRECT ANSWER The WigLab Source Library & Evidence Ledger is the traceability layer behind the Knowledge Center. A material claim should answer: who says it, the exact retrievable source, what wig/fiber/product/audience it applies to, what the source actually supports, whether another credible source conflicts, when the exact record was verified, and which canonical WigLab pages depend on it. A source record stores evidence and scope; it does not turn a brand rule into a universal rule. VERIFICATION STATES VERIFIED means the exact source was opened and the relevant instruction checked for the stated scope. VERIFICATION PENDING means the exact record is not yet locked. CONFLICTED means another credible source gives materially different guidance and both scopes remain visible. SUPERSEDED means newer current guidance replaces an older record while history may still matter. SOURCE UNAVAILABLE means an older citation cannot support a fresh verification date. A page may contain clearly labeled WigLab routing while evidence is pending, but an unverified material claim is never upgraded to verified fact because the draft sounds plausible. If sources do not explain the mechanism, WigLab does not invent one. One evidence record may support several user-intent pages, but it should not spawn several competing canonical answers. When a verified record changes, WigLab reviews the claim and dependent guides that use it; unrelated vetted pages are left alone. Verification dates change only after the exact source is rechecked. WHAT THE LEDGER IS NOT The ledger is not a manufacturer ranking, affiliate list, popularity score, or claim that WigLab has independently laboratory-tested these instructions. It does not convert review volume, search visibility, retailer repetition, or social-media hacks into technical evidence. Original WigLab testing will require its own protocol, dated observations, controls where appropriate, and separate evidence record before firsthand results are presented as evidence.
