For Raquel Welch, Gabor, Hairdo, and HIM, check the fiber and model on your label. The brand name alone does not establish heat tolerance.

Washing

The cited synthetic sections describe a 3–5-minute cool-water soak with the manufacturer’s shampoo. Do not scrunch or agitate; rinse thoroughly in cool water.

Do not transfer that product’s dilution or soak time to WigLab CLEANSE.

Before you comb

The guide uses a wide-tooth comb after the manufacturer’s leave-in product, starting at the ends. Avoid pulling or stretching the fibers.

Its leave-in directions warn against applying product to hand-tied areas, where the hairs are knotted into the cap.

Drying

Gently press out water with a towel; do not twist or wring. Wigs may dry on a stand, but hand-tied hairpieces are directed to dry flat on a towel.

Check your wig

Ordinary synthetic and heat-friendly fibers have different limits. Follow the section for your exact fiber and construction.

Using WigLab?

CLEANSE — Synthetic Wig Shampoo

WIGLAB CONTROL — Synthetic Wig Post-Wash Spray

Use your wig’s current care instructions alongside WigLab’s product directions. If they conflict, check with your manufacturer or retailer before choosing a routine.
