Check whether your wig is standard synthetic or Heat Defiant (HD). Use the matching section of its care card.

Washing

The published synthetic shampoo directions use cool running water. They say not to scrub or soak, followed by a thorough cool rinse.

Product amounts and application details belong to the product named in those directions.

Before you comb

The standard synthetic care card includes gentle wide-tooth detangling after its leave-in conditioner.

The HD section specifies a wide-tooth comb only. Follow the sequence for your exact fiber.

Drying

Gently pat with a towel, then air-dry on a plastic or wire wig stand. Do not blow-dry as part of this routine.

Check your wig

Standard synthetic and HD have different heat permissions. Matching one washing step does not mean the manufacturer has approved WigLab products.

Using WigLab?

CLEANSE — Synthetic Wig Shampoo

WIGLAB CONTROL — Synthetic Wig Post-Wash Spray

Use your wig’s current care instructions alongside WigLab’s product directions. If they conflict, check with your manufacturer or retailer before choosing a routine.
