It separates patient-level fit/comfort authority from manufacturer-specific sizing, cap, construction, and attachment authority. CLAIM CLUSTER Supported synthesis: Wig fit should be approached in layers. Measure the head before treating adjustment tabs as the whole sizing system. Keep circumference, ear-to-ear or side-to-side, and front-to-back as separate dimensions when the applicable source or manufacturer uses them. Put the wig into the intended front-to-back position and check ear tabs before increasing tension. A slipping or uncomfortable wig should then be assessed for position, size, adjustment, and interface accessories before stronger attachment. A cushioned grip band can be a patient-education-supported option for secure or comfortable hold. A liner can be a patient-education-supported comfort option and may absorb or wick sweat. WHAT THESE RECORDS SUPPORT WigLab can route a new wearer through measurement → exact-brand size chart → initial placement → ear-tab or position check → adjustment → slipping or comfort troubleshooting. WigLab can identify grip bands and liners as possible options without declaring either mandatory. WigLab can treat sweat as a comfort and maintenance variable and can warn that some specialized attachment systems have their own perspiration restrictions. WigLab can keep delicate-lace handling conservative without inventing a universal bonding or removal routine. WHAT THESE RECORDS DO NOT SUPPORT They do not support average meaning the same measurement for every brand, one circumference number fully determining every wig fit, grip bands preventing wig damage, liners preventing scalp irritation, exercise shortening wig life by a fixed percentage, sweat meaning wash after every workout, one adhesive being sweat-proof for every wearer, all wigs needing glue, or a tighter wig always being more secure. They do not support hypoallergenic, chemo-safe, treatment-safe, dermatologist-tested, or clinical-superiority claims for a wig accessory without evidence specific to that product and claim. DISAGREEMENT AND SCOPE STATUS ACS, Jon Renau, and HairUWear overlap on the existence of measurable fit variables while using different levels of detail and different sizing contexts. WigLab preserves those scopes instead of averaging them into one invented universal cap chart. No direct conflict is recorded between ACS patient-level fit guidance and manufacturer sizing or construction guidance because they answer different layers of the decision. The HairUWear bonded-system perspiration restriction remains intentionally isolated rather than averaged into a general exercise rule. UPDATE RULE If a cited source changes, WigLab re-verifies the affected record and dependent canonical pages.
