What Does “Synthetic-Safe” Actually Mean for Wig Care?

Direct answer
The words “synthetic-safe” do not tell you everything you need to know. A product can be made for synthetic fiber and still be wrong for your wig, the job you are doing, or the place you put it.
Before you use it, make three quick checks.
1. Know the wig
Look for the brand, model, fiber type, and care label. Standard synthetic and heat-friendly synthetic fibers can have different limits.
Your wig manufacturer’s directions come first.
2. Know the product’s job
A shampoo cleans the fiber. A post-wash spray helps manage the fiber after washing. Detanglers, styling sprays, adhesive products, scalp products, and heat protectants do different jobs.
One “synthetic-safe” label does not make a product right for every job.
3. Know where it goes
The fiber and the cap are not the same. A product intended for the lengths and ends may not belong on lace, hand-tied knots, the cap, or adhesive areas.
If anything is unknown
